| August 31, 2010 | Emergency Response Team training set San Rafael's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) seven-week training class begins Sept. 14. The class, which educates residents about disaster preparedness, covers topics such as how to put out small fires, administer basic medical aid and help with search-and-rescue efforts. |
| June 5, 2010 | The Marin County Fire Chief's Association has created a brochure called "Ready, Set, Go! Your Prsonal Wildfire Action Plan", that provided excellent information about what each individual residence can do to plan in advance for the likelihood of a wildfire in the future. This clear and easy-to-understand brochure gives critical information on how to create a defensible space around your home, improve the ability of your home to withstand a wildfire, create a personal wildfire action plan, and how to deal with the approach of a wildfire.
